Bio

Dr. Aina Lask is a resident in thoracic surgery at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and a member of the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons (ESTS). She completed her doctoral thesis in 2021 at the Department of Infectious Diseases, where her work focused on the therapeutic relevance of an Angiopoietin-1 mimetic in ventilator-associated lung injury in a murine model of pneumococcal pneumonia.
Her research interests are centered on tumor immunology, with a particular focus on purinergic signaling within the tumor microenvironment. Current projects investigate the immunomodulatory roles of ectonucleotidases CD39 and ENTPD3, aiming to elucidate their contribution to immune regulation and tumor progression.
