Bio

Prof. Nathanael Raschzok, M.D., is a HPB and transplant surgeon and advanced clinician scientist at the Department of Surgery of the Charité and the Berlin Institute of Health. He earned his medical degree at the Charité, where he also completed a residency in general surgery, followed by a fellowship in abdominal transplant and HPB surgery at the University of Toronto. Dr. Raschzok is Principal Investigator of the Organ Reconditioning team, focused on developing strategies to improve the number and quality of organs available for transplant by ex vivo liver machine perfusion, as well as on improving disease control in patients with colorectal liver metastases.
