Regnerative Medicine

Regenerative Medicine

Regenerative Medicine denotes the process of creating living, functional tissues to repair or replace tissue or organ function lost due to age, disease, damage, or congenital defects. Other concepts are based on the application of hybrid organs and processed and modified cells. Therefore, this interdisciplinary research field combines the methods of clinical medicine with molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, as well as materials sciences, medical engineering and nanotechnology.
